RITON

About RITON

Formed in 2002, RITON, a non-surgeon owned company, has the goal of exceeding the standard of care by instituting a mantra of full service for all surgeries. The founders have been providing IONM services for just over seven years and have direct IONM experience in managing technical and professional services for the surgical theater. Today our team of dedicated professionals (whose fields of service include Legal, Financial, Accounting, Medical/Technical, Human Resources and Billing specialties) amass over forty years of experiential knowledge to ensure compliance with all levels of the IONM profession.  Collectively, this team has out-performed the competition by maintaining a standard of excellence through wise and visionary practices. RITON is a profitable business that provides IntraOperative Neurophysiological Monitoring. The result is an environment of professional, ethical and satisfied team members whose focus on patient safety transcends traditional employee/employer relationships.

RITON offers each patient and surgical team the dynamic interaction of an experienced CNIM Technologist and professional oversight by a Fellowship-Trained Neurologist (specifically in electrophysiological recordings). Our staff is overseen by a Surgical Nurse Manager (a member of the Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses (AORN) and CNIM-Certified) with over 21 years of intraoperative neuromonitoring experience. Each of the CNIM-Certified Technologists has at minimum a Bachelors of Science degree and most have experience and tenure from major medical centers. Additionally, the RITON staff all has an educational affiliation with Spine University.

Certificate in Neurophysiologic Intra-operative Monitoring
Several years ago, the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET) developed a board certification program for IONM technologists. This board certification is called the Certificate in Neurophysiologic Intra-operative Monitoring (CNIM) and is the only board certification program available for technologists. Board certification of IONM technologists requires an in-depth knowledge of monitoring within the operating room. At RITON, we have CNIM requirements for all of our IONM personnel. Those undergoing our training program will become eligible and are on course to be CNIM certified within one year of service.
